BeautynetKorea Haul + ReviewFriday, November 06, 2015
Hey everyone! How have you all been?
I don't know if you guys can teellllll but my blog got a makeover! Took me all night to set up the new template but I really like it! Now my blog looks all fancy shmancy professional and minimalistic. Might have to change the blog header into something a bit more "me" but for right now it's fine.
Anyways, today's post is gonna be a haul from BeautynetKorea. This is my second time ordering from there (previous haul post) and now I think I have my final verdict on what I think about the shop. But first, the things I purchased!
All the samples they included! Last time, I thought they gave me a lot of samples because I ordered quite a bit from them but this time I only bought 3 (technically 4) things from them and they still gave me a lot of samples! I can't wait to try out some Skinfood skincare since I've always heard lots of great things about their stuff but have yet to try it out for myself.
First things I purchased were the Etude House Drawing Eyebrow pencils. The reason I bought two is because one of them I purchased for my friend so I'll be sending that one to her soon. I got a good deal on them since BeautynetKorea has this 1+1 deal so you get it for a discount so I saved 97 cents doing the 1+1 deal.
I'm really eager to try this out. I haven't really been comfortable wearing eyebrow pencils since I think it looks pretty harsh and I like using powder because it looks more natural but I think it's because all the pencils I've tried were very red toned. I think Korean eyebrow products are a lot ashier and they would match my hair colour more. I don't know why NYX decided to put a whole bunch of orange and red into their brow products. Nobody wants orange eyebrows.
I actually got scared at first because I thought they sent me one expired pencil but after asking the Asian Beauty subreddit, they helped me realize one is the manufacturing date. I don't know why they decided to put only the expiration date on one pencil and only the manufacturing date on the other. That's so confusing!!
Next I bought the Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream because my friend asked for a BB cream in the shade 23 and most of the ones I found were only one shade. I think Missha BB creams have a good reputation? The only Missha BB cream I tried was the Wrinkle Filler one and now that I look back at it, yeah it did give me a really smooth face but I think it broke me out! So for now, I'm gonna stay clear away from Missha BB creams! I'm not even wearing a lot of BB creams these days. I'm all about the cushions!
Last thing I purchased is the TonyMoly Atom Liptone Get It Tint in #5 All Night Red. OF COURSE I had to get this because of the cute limited edition Astro Boy (I guess it's called Mighty Atom in different countries?) packaging! Plus, it was cheaper than the regular Liptone by like 10 cents.
I was most excited to get this! I'll definitely be reviewing this sometime soon so look forward to that.
Since this is my second time ordering from BeautynetKorea and now I have my final thoughts on them.
BeautynetKorea has free economy shipping but no tracking number unless you order $50+ then you'll get standard shipping with a tracking number. My first order only took 10 days to arrive. This time, it took 20+ days to arrive which I wasn't too happy about but it's understandable since it's free economy shipping. I think I've been too spoiled with Amazon Prime that I've become impatient with shipping. But reading other reviews, for some people it took 40+ days for their package to arrive! Next time if I don't purchase $50+ worth of makeup, I'll just spend the $2.80 to get standard shipping with tracking. It was annoying for me always going to my mailbox and being disappointed nothing was there!
Like I said in my last post, they don't have the widest selections of Korean makeup like other online shops but they have a good amount. From what I can tell, they also have the best discount prices and their 1+1 deal is a bargain.
I was just upset that I didn't check other Korean beauty shops so I missed out on this good deal on an A'PIEU Doraemon cushion!!!! DORAEMON!! Ugh, I'm so upset.
In conclusion, would I continue to purchase from BeautynetKorea? Yes but for now, I'm gonna try out other Korean beauty shops that have a wider selection and see how they compare with BeautynetKorea. For some things I know I love and if the price is better on BeautynetKorea, I'll still purchase it from there.
I truly recommend you try out BeautynetKorea is you haven't ordered from them before. Probably the best prices I can find for Korean makeup online!
If you guys have any other shops you order your Korean makeup from, let me know in the comments! I'd love to try them out!
Hope you guys enjoyed this post! I'll be posting a lot more soon!
Have a great week!
